As we discussed earlier that there are total eight educational boards that are functioning presently in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kohat board is one of these educational bodies. This educational body came into existence after the orders of government as an independent commanding body in 2002 and since it is handling the educational matters of the students of Kohat and its jurisdiction areas. Annually the educational body holds the matriculation and intermediate level annual exams for both external as well as internal candidates. It is also worth mentioning that this body just holds the exams for the students living in the areas and studying in the educational institutes that are under its supervision.

Secondary school certificate (SSC) or matriculation level is deliberated as the base in the student’s life as their future entirely depends on the grades that they obtained at this level. In SSC, the authoritative body holds the exams of students for two groups which are arts and science whereas at intermediate level the board holds the exams of the aspirants for six different groups which are fine arts (FA), commerce (I.Com), pre medical (FSc), pre engineering (FSc), general science and computer science (ICS). Every year the governing body organizes the exams of the private and regular students of matric level in March. In the past these exams were conducted collectively however now the educational body holds these exams in parts. At first, matric part 1 exams are conducted and then matric part 2 exams are conducted.
In March, these exams were organized under the authority of board and now it’s the time for the result announcement.
