Board of intermediate and secondary education Swat is also one of the best educational bodies across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It has started its functioning to handle the educational matters of KPK regions in 1992 and since then it organizing the annual exams of higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) and secondary school certificate (SSC) level in unbiased way and fair environment. It has given the responsibility of dealing along with the educational affairs of some specific regions of KPK including Swat. The major responsibility of this body is the affiliation of educational institutes (both schools and intermediate level colleges) located in the areas that are under its jurisdiction. As we mentioned earlier, that the board is accountable to organize the annual exams of matriculation and intermediate level under its supervision.
The annual exams of SSC level are normally held in parts whereas the registration for this level is done just once in matric part 1 and every year large numbers of aspirants gets registered from the board to appear in the exams. It has the responsibility of organizing the exams for both private as well as regular students. Matriculation part 1 and 2 exams are normally held in March every year while intermediate exams are held in May.
