Sukkur board of intermediate and secondary education is one of the eight educational bodies working across Sindh province. It is deliberated as one of the finest educational bodies working for the betterment of the students. It started its functioning as a commanding for the focal purpose of handling the educational affairs earlier in 1979 and from the time of its establishment this board is handling all the matters pertaining to education of Sukkur and the jurisdiction areas. Annually the board conducts the matriculation and intermediate level annual exams of external as well as internal students of the dominion in crystal clear environment. The board is only responsible for conducting the exams of students studying in the affiliated educational institutes and for the private sector its only holds the exams of the students living in its jurisdiction areas.
At SSC level, this educational body just like the other educational bodies of the country holds the exams of students in two groups i-e arts and science whereas at HSSC level the board organizes the annual exams for the students in six groups which are fine arts or commonly known as FA, commerce (I.Com), pre medical (FSc), pre engineering (FSc), general science and computer science group (ICS). As we mentioned earlier that matriculation level is deliberated as the main level in the life of student as their future completely depends on the grades that the aspirants gained at this level. After the successful completion of matric level along with the good marks either in science or arts group, there many options for the aspirants to choose from at intermediate level and here the students makes a choice by keeping in view their future and their interest for the specific field.
